Easy Online OS Maps Access
« on: March 23, 2016, 01:57:15 PM »
Hi all,

I'm currently looking at the coursework my for Y10s and we always try to include OS maps of the sites we've been to and use to use Bing - however since they've updated Bing I don't think the OS map layer is still available

Does anyone else have an easy way of getting OS maps online?

Thanks

Nick

Digimaps is excellent but subscription-based.

www.digimapforschools.edina.ac.uk

Customise maps and also use historic maps. Useful webinars as support too.

I second Digimaps, well worth the very small subscription.

Unfortunately being in a school in deficit and having no money means all extras like that have been stopped which is a real shame.

OS maps are still in Bing - they've moved them on the top tabs to the end...

Don't forget Gavin Brock's OS layer for Google Earth too.... with free Pro version you can get some great screenshots with the maps draped over the landscape...
