Best of British geographers
« on: November 02, 2015, 08:34:50 PM »
Dear all,

I am trying to design a couple of lessons about a key or influential British Geographer.  If possible, something with lots of visuals or a good story.  Winning so far is Professor Iain Stewart.

Any other suggestions...??

Hi Paul - you might find the colleagues we've featured in Going Places with Geography useful - appreciate they aren't perhaps 'famous or influential' but all geographers in a wide range of successful careers. See link below

I wonder what he's up to now??

I worry that the early stardom might have affected him, much like Mr Bieber

Kathy Willis (Kew - on R4 today).
"Willis gained her first degree in geography and environmental science "

Good to include a woman.
