Introducing Asia to Year 8 interview lesson?
« on: January 27, 2015, 07:34:35 PM »
Hello

I have been set the task to teach a mixed ability group of Year 8 with a lesson introducing Asia.
What it is and where; oceans and seas that border it; identify main physical features such as two deserts, longest river, highest mountain range; and to be able to name at least five countries.

I was thinking of creating a mini mystery concerning the recent Air Asia plane crash? Does anyone have any other good ideas or resources? Happy to share my finished resources.

Many thanks all.
 :)

A nice way to start maybe an Asia or not using images.

Maps from memory maybe a good idea, you may need to find or create a suitable map.

I would be impressed if some attention was paid to the differences in Asia rather than just tarring Asia with one brush.

Good luck
