Ofsted - a little bit of advice from my experience
« on: May 23, 2014, 09:51:56 AM »
My lesson was observed and here is a couple of things that might be useful to someone.
Firstly I provided the inspector with my seating plan which I used this template for http://www.tes.co.uk/teaching-resource/Seating-plan-format-to-include-student-data-6340071/ which clearly showed the level the pupils were working at and their end of year target she told me that this was excellent as she could see clearly that the pupils were making excellent progress before she started the observation. She also commented on how much extended writing was in their books (often lacking in Geog she said) and what a good command of geographical terminology they had. They were very interested in PPG pupils so I made sure that I checked their progress literally and through questioning and she spoke to several of them about their progress.
