Anyone working with maps might be interested in this free resource also:

Geokov.com has map maker that is basically a customization of the familiar Google Maps. The interactive map makes it very easy to add symbols/icons, draw on the map, and create shaded-relief topo maps of any region. Students can take a virtual field trip to explore landforms and terrain features on topographic map and Google Earth (North America for now). It does not need any kind of software or knowledge of GIS. There is also comprehensive coverage of topographic map education.

Introductory video summarizing its functionality: http://youtu.be/vxnVvUxkTZM

Brainy Box - excellent for summarising case studies. Here are some first attempts by my students using the Chinese One Child Policy as the focus - the sixth side has their 30 second rant embedded as a YouTube video.

Had a go at doing some RSA style videos with my Y11 class this week. The results are here.

I'm really pleased with them. Takes a bit of setting up but well worth it.
