C-D Boundary Students - GCSE
« on: May 20, 2010, 08:48:28 PM »
Hi Folks

A while ago I remember seeing a document which had information on improving the chances of students getting a C grade at GCSE.  Activities, skills etc..

I'm fortunate enough to have a group of students for geography intervention where they have been identified as C/D boundary.

Does anyone know where I could get hold of a digital copy or know of any other good resources?

We do the OCR Bristol Project.

Many thanks!

Chris

There was a QCA document 'Doing better in...' for every GCSE subject - a version for learners and a version for teachers. I think it was targeted at the C/D borderline. I'm going to go and have a look for it and will upload it if I find it.

It seems to have disappeared from the official website but you can download a copy from http://www.sacredhearthighschool.org.uk/Supporting_Learning/DfES-0696-2003Geography.pdf

Hi Katharine

Many thanks!  That was exactly the document I'd been looking for.
