OFSTED visit
«

Afternoon all
Last year we had a two day monitoring visit from HMI with three inspectors, yesterday and today we have had a five strong OFSTED team with their support workers. All inspections have been half lessons.
In all of this time, not one geography lesson has been observed.
Is this the unusual or representative of the way our subject is percieved?

I was talking to secondary teachers yesterday and the experiences ranges from no visit at all to anyone in the geog dept to a full 60 minute lesson being observed (plus a 10 minute observation which focussed on looking at pupils' books to look at marking!!)
