Used google earth with a PE/ intervention group to plot on The Great North Run with a route, measured the distance added an elevated path and finally pupils added 'interviews' with the runners.

I used where's the path to measure distances along the course of a river valley for my GCSE class and along footpaths for year 7 exploring the local area.

GIS used AEGIS3 software, data from yr 13 microclimate trip, students built their own gis worksheet - inputting maps, data from fieldtrip and then graphed temperature, windspeed and other data using charts of varying descriptions. Used to apply theories of urban microclimates to Telford.
