Title: Presenting Longshore Drift
Post by: zcsaa44 on January 29, 2016, 03:54:18 PM
What ways would people present longshore drift data for a range of sites? Where I am the iGCSE coursework completed by the students has seen them all told to produce a line graph with the data on. This just looks wrong to me, does not seem like an effective use of a graph or effective presentation and looking at the mark scheme would reduce their marks. However I am not an expert in data presentation so thought I would ask people.

What type of data have you got? Could you have located proportionally sized arrows, for speed and direction, on a base map?

That is how I presented it in the past.

So am I correct in my belief that a line graph is wrong
